Privacy policy

This policy explains what information the 7% website and the 7% iPhone app collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

7% is operated by apphero Tech LLC, 732 S 6th St, Ste N, Las Vegas, NV 89101, United States, while 7%.ai LLC is being formed. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].

What this website collects

• If you request early access: your email address and, if you choose to give it, your answer to "What would you use it for?"
• If you use the investor form: your name, email address, firm (optional) and message.
• If you use an invite code to try the app: your email address, the code you used, and any codes you are given to share and whether they have been used.

The 7% app: what stays on your iPhone

7% reads how you speak and how your face moves, on your iPhone, to understand what you say better. The following never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or to anyone else:

• images from the camera and the sound of your voice;
• the measurements of your face and voice taken while you speak;
• your personal baseline: how you usually speak and move, kept so that 7% compares you with yourself;
• a few proportions of the head, kept to recognise people who come back to the phone. The owner's are kept; a guest's are forgotten after three weeks without seeing them.

Face ID is handled by Apple: 7% only learns whether it confirmed the owner. Face data is never used for advertising or marketing, never used to judge honesty, health or personality, and never sold.

The 7% app: what is sent to answer you

• When you speak: the text of what you said, short notes on how it was said (from a fixed list, such as "a longer pause than usual"), and a reading of your expression and voice given as probabilities. If you allow it, your approximate location (rounded to about a kilometre) and your local time.
• These go to our server, which passes them to Anthropic to write the reply. Our server does not store what you say or what is written back.
• The reply's text is sent to a voice provider to be read aloud: Cartesia by default, or ElevenLabs or OpenAI if you choose them.
• Your account: the identifier and email address given by Sign in with Apple (which can be a private relay address) and your first name. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
• Usage counters (date and amount processed), used to keep daily limits, kept for 90 days.

The app is for people aged 18 and over.

What this website does not collect

We do not use analytics, tracking cookies or advertising identifiers. This website does not use your camera or your microphone.

Why we use it

• To send milestone updates to people who asked for them.
• To reply to messages sent through the investor form.
• To understand which uses interest people, from the optional answer on the early access form.

Legal bases for visitors in the EU and UK

We send updates on the basis of your consent, which you give by joining the list and can withdraw at any time. We reply to investor messages on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.

Where your data is stored

Website submissions are stored with Cloudflare, in the United States. The app's accounts and usage counters are stored with Supabase, in the United States. Anthropic writes the replies and a voice provider reads them aloud, each under its own terms, in the United States.

How long we keep it

• Early access data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Investor messages: for up to 24 months.
• Invite codes and tester emails: for as long as testing lasts, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Your 7% account: until you delete it in the app.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. The providers above process it on our behalf only to provide the service.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. If you live in California, you also have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as the one in the country where you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell people on the early access list by email.
